Our Recruitment Process
Because we are so passionate about ensuring that every child has the very best care, we have implemented a strict screening procedure for all of our candidates in order to register with our Nanny agency. Our screening process includes verbal and written reference checking, qualification, police & criminal history checks (CRB/DBS, Work with childrens checks AU) and personality analysis.
We conduct thorough interviews with all of our applicants to assess suitability for our agency and your family.
We only accept candidates with extensive childcare experience and/or qualifications and preferably some previous private household experience depending on the position and needs of the family.
Stage 1 – ACCESSING YOUR REQUIREMENTS
Once you have registered your vacancy online via our Client registration form we will contact you directly on the phone to discuss and review in details your needs and goals regarding finding the best childcare option for your family. Every detail is important in order for us to determine a very suitable match for you and your children. We only recommend candidates who we feel will compliment your family. We can advise and work with you to define a Nanny role within your home.
Stage 2 – SELECTING SUITABLE CANDIDATES FOR YOUR FAMILY
We will then email to you a selection of shortlisted candidate resumes that we feel are most suited to your family based on your criteria and our interview discussions along with their type of personality and ideal position desired. You can spend time assessing these resumes and we welcome questions and further discussion with you in order to help you make a decision on the final applicants that you would like to interview.
Step 3 - INTERVIEWING OUR CANDIDATES
Once you have selected the candidate that you feel may suit your family we can arrange interviews for you (in person, via skype or over the phone) This will give you the opportunity to ask the candidate as many questions as you like and to get a feel for their personality and motivation. We often find that aside from qualifications and experience, when it comes to caring for children in a family home, personality and the nature of a person is just as important.
Step 4 – CREATING A CONTRACT
When a family feels comfortable with a nanny / governess and decides to offer her the job, we can help draft a work agreement (contract) to make sure no key consideration has been overlooked. A sample contract is offered free of charge, but we can also prepare a customized contract for you. Once a contract of employment has been signed, the family will be the employer and will therefore be obligated to adhere to all employment legislation protocols.
Step 5 - FOLLOW UP
Creating and maintaining good relationships with our Nannies as well as our clients is very important to us. Most of our candidates are well known to the agency and have been placed in multiple bookings with our loyal families. After the placement, we will contact both family and the candidate to assess the working relationship. And make sure everyone is happy. We welcome ongoing contact and always love to hear of successful stories.
